We found out a few days ago that we got this apartment we've had our eye on. We are very excited (apartment hunting has had me crying that we'd raise our child in a hovel  has been a tad stressful), so this was welcomed news!

That being said, I'm finding myself a little sad knowing we'll be out of our small studio in about a week and a half. It's tiny... you might be thinking one bedroom. This is one room. A room, a tiny kitchen, and a tiny bathroom. All built about 60 years ago, and not many updates since then. So I should be clicking my heels that we're getting out of here (we haven't even taken our wedding presents out of their boxes because their was no room to put them!... They've been stacked up against a wall for months), and I am... but, oddly, I'm going to miss it.

It's not that I'll miss the lack of A.C., or the fact that the pack toilet paper we buy from Costco is almost bigger than the bathroom itself (although both great selling points), it's that it represents why we lived in such a tiny place for so long. We were (and still are) following dreams, building our own businesses so we could be together and not working for someone else (or at least not as much). It let us be in the moment, head out to a new place for breakfast or lunch whenever we wanted, travel, go to Michigan for 6 weeks at a time.

I know we'll love our new place. And I know this new adventure will be super exciting. But I will always be proud of the fact that we made it work and were so happy in such an itty bitty tiny little place!
