Another gorgeous day with no coats!!!

The first thing we did today was see the Statue of David. Well, actually, the first thing we did today was stand in line to see the Statue of David. Florence is gorgeous, but there are a lot of people here!

We thought the line would go by pretty quickly, but we were wrong. We had to wait though, I mean it's the Statue of David. We couldn't come to Florence and not see the Statue of David. Plus we had to get pictures! Three trips to the near-by cafe (pastry, then another pastry, then pizza) while Justin waited in line, and two hours later we were finally in.

I excitedly got my camera out and was taking aim at the first statue you see when you walk in, when some lady ran halfway across the museum yelling at me "no PITCHers... NO PITCHers!!!" and waving her arms as though the camera would somehow cause the marble to explode.

She was so angry! I didn't know! Good grief! Had they put a sign up outside while we were waiting, or even when they inspected our stuff at the metal detectors, then we would have known... and taken pictures more discretely.

She kept shaking her head as though she couldn't believe it!

And then she ran to the other side of the museum yelling "no PITCHers!" at someone else, so we figured it was a good time to get pictures. Here's one of David.

So shopping was next! They have so much cool stuff here, and for such reasonable prices. I wanted to buy everything!

After dinner we walked around the city. It's so pretty at night.

A man was playing guitar for some tourists on the Ponte Vecchio bridge. It sounded so nice.
