Michigan Baby Shower
August 29, 2015
Last month I flew to Michigan for an incredibly special baby shower! My mom has been working on this for months (let's be honest, she's been planning this ever since Justin & I said our "I do's"...). Everything she does is amazing, but this event was especially put together with love.
Everything was so adorable. She had a "Nest" theme, so there were these super cute bird and owl finger puppets on each table, bird marquee lights and a very cool "NEST" sign right behind the main table. And there were so many other special details. Little lambs, moss covered animals and rag garlands that her and my Gram made themselves!
My mom's crew. Kathy, Bev, Suzy, mom, Gram, Helene and Carolyn. They were so helpful, and I know my mom couldn't have put this together without them!
I loved this handmade paper and feather garland...
My mom had put together the cutest favors! Gorgeous gourmet marshmallows and mini chocolate eggs.
The food, almost all made by my mom, was amazing. The desserts were my fave (dirt cake, strawberry cakes in a jar, and all kinds of cookies!).
In the photo in the far right you'll see a TV. She actually had a video playing during the shower of when I was a baby.
There were so many special people at our shower. Bev came all the way up from Tennessee to celebrate with us, and Linda, who's had a very rough year fighting cancer, made it to the shower looking amazing! It meant so so much to have these ladies, people who are in every memory of my childhood, and are so excited for this next chapter in our lives, take time to be with us!
My Gram! She made this gorgeous, adorable lamb quilt!!! It's so special, we can't wait to wrap our little baby in it!
Thank you everyone for all that you did, and for everyone's thoughtful gifts for our baby girl! And a massive, huge thank you to my mom. I cannot imagine a more special or beautiful celebration!!!
