It's hard to believe Gweneth was about 2 1/5 months old before she met most of my family! December 1st we headed to Michigan for the holidays. I get anxiety when we fly, so I thought flying with a baby would be insanely stressful. But it actually made some of it easier! Going through security was a breeze (for me), they let you go in this special, short line, you don't have to go through the body scanner (we don't anyway, but at least we didn't have to request a pat down), and everyone smiles at you because you have a super cute baby. It was a little more difficult for Justin, since he was the one who had to break down the stroller, car seat, etc., and get that all on the conveyer belt... put it together after security...

Getting on the plane was nicer too, (for me), since we got to go first. Not "Zone 1" first, but the very first, before first class "if you have kids or need extra assistance" first. Which I love, because not having enough overhead space is the source of all my flying anxiety. Justin, however, had to get everything checked in, break down the stroller (which for some reason decided not to break down easily that day), etc.

She did great. I saw the horror on people's faces when they saw they were sitting next to or near a baby. And I was worried, too. If she started crying there would be nothing we could do! But she was amazing!!! She cried for like, 30 seconds in the beginning and that was it. People were commenting as we were getting off on how great a baby she was (I'm sure they were just relieved they didn't have to hear screaming the whole way). She also got plenty of comments on being adorable and having awesome hair... which we love.

Everyone met us at the door when we got to my parents and they didn't even notice us! It was all about Gweneth (which was great). Gram got to hold her first, and then we passed her around.
