Parents come to CA
September 17, 2007My parents came and visited this weekend! It was my dad's first time to CA and my mom's first time without having to decorate an apartment. On Friday night we went to a Dodger game! My dad loves baseball so it was a lot of fun, and lucky for us we went on the night of Tommy Lasorda's 80th birthday. To celebrate, everyone received Tommy Lasorda Bobbleheads! 
On Saturday we drove up to the beach in Malibu. We had lunch at Paradise Cove and then hung out by the water
After that we went to my favorite cupcake place in Beverly Hills, Sprinkles! Then we stopped by Greystone Mansion. It's this huge historical estate that was once lived in, but now is mostly used for events and filming. We didn't get to see as much of the property as we would have liked because there was a wedding going on.

That night we went to Arnie Morton's for dinner.On Sunday we went to church and then headed to the Farmer's Market for lunch. We checked out the La Brea Tar Pits, which I had never seen before. They were really interesting, this tar is seeping up from the earth and you can go and check it out. After that we walked through, LACMA one of LA's art museums.

My parents plane left at 9:50pm last night, so we grabbed some dinner at Grand Lux Cafe and took them to the airport! We had so much fun, I can't wait till they come and visit again!
