Garage Saling and Red Lion
March 09, 2013I dragged Justin to this garage sale the other day. This popular and stylish blog that I read was having it, and it seemed like it was going to be awesome. The blogger is all about style, and talked about all of the cool things that were going to be there. We even had to reserve our spot, and it was going to be held in this huge parking lot, so I assumed they were going to have an overflow of awesome gems. I told Justin we had to be there right at 10am, so we wouldn't miss all of the good stuff. We got there right at 10, and sure enough there was a line. One of the workers even told us we "just made the cut off" as we walked in. Phew!
However...
It was the saddest garage sale ever. There were a few dinky tables with some items, a large piece of paper with fabric squares sewn on to part of it, and a small rack with some clothes. I tried to act interested for about seven minutes. One, because I didn't want the people running it to know how much I hated it, and two, because I made Justin go and I didn't want it to seem like it was the lame event he thought it would be.
But it was. And we were the first to leave.
I had to reward Justin, so we went to his favorite German Tavern, Red Lion. Usually the place is packed, but since we were there right when it opened...
The third photo down is a sign we saw while voting on Tuesday, and the last one is at Starbucks.
