Restaurant Envy
May 11, 2010I love discovering really great restaurants. I'm really picky and a good restaurant is hard to find. My two favorite places in L.A. are the 8 oz. Burger Bar (amazing, if you go there get the Melrose burger with blue cheese and the truffled potato skins), and Morton's. Also, Solar De Cahuenga has the best crepes and garlic fries. And I've never had a better croissant than the one at Caffe Primo. And the Grilled Cheese Truck is amazing. Okay, I spoke too soon, there are a lot of great places here. But ANYWAY, a gorgeous hotel/residence opened up a few blocks away from me, the W Hollywood. In the W they have a new restaurant called the Delphine, and I am just looking for a reason to eat there.
I've checked out their gorgeous website, and the menus are extensive (they have the following: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert and Breakfast Coffee. You can check them out here). One of the many things that caught my eye was the Butternut Squash Ravioli. There was a restaurant that had an amazing version of it, but they closed down, and I've been looking for its equal ever since.
The restaurant itself looks gorgeous. It has huge photos on the wall of life in France from 60 or so years ago. It looks very sophisticated and unique and I hope it doesn't disappoint.
