Date Night
April 11, 2010You know you're seeing a movie that will appeal to both sexes when the previews consist of "The A Team" (can't wait) and "Sex and the City 2" (I will pass). I love, (and who doesn't?) Steve Carell and Tina Fey. They are so funny, and are hilarious together in "Date Night". It's a great movie to see, appropriately, on a date night because it totally resounds with male and female audiences.
Also, can I say, people in theaters crack me up. And when I say "crack me up", I kind of me "confuse me". The type of stuff people do in theaters blows my mind. Well, I guess the guy last night wasn't that big of a deal, but when we sat down I noticed the guy next to me had brought a plastic grocery bag (as all movie goers do). I guess he thought no one would be sitting next to him, so while the bag was on his seat, the handles where hanging out on my side. I guess it's not a big deal, but I was kind of like, "do I sit on the handles? do I push them over to his seat? What is appropriate grocery bag handle/theater etiquette?" I eventually decided on pushing them over, which did no good because they snapped back, and I decided just to let it go and share my seat with the Ralph's bag. A time that does stick out in my mind, though, is the last time we were at the theater. This couple sitting next to me was not just making out, but she was laying on his lap, head turned around, kissing, loudly I might add. I kept looking over but I'm not sure they cared (often I'm afraid to say like "hey! what are you doing?" because I'm convinced they'll have a gun and shoot me. Sometimes I say it anyway, but not on this occasion). They eventually calmed it down, but, strange.
Anyway, check out "Date Night", you won't be disappointed!

Love both of those actors too...glad to hear the movie is worth seeing! And movie-goers are the main reason why I love netflix.
