My mom included this photo in a recent box she sent me. This was our Van Dyke Church of Christ family photo. Awesome, isn't it? Those bangs were my trademark, the bigger the better. And my brother with his smile, so funny. My dad has a little less hair now, and my mom's hair less fluffy, but other than that they pretty much look the same!


In other news, did anyone watch the Olympics closing ceremonies last night? Although I loved watching the Olympics I did not enjoy last night's ceremony. I think they feel obligated to make it long, which in turn makes it boring... and confusing. In the beginning there were like 300 kids dressed as snowboarders, and they were spelling something out, but it was so oddly done that you couldn't tell what they were spelling. The weirdest part was when they did a "preview" of what Russia's 2014 Winter Olympics will look like. Apparently Olympic athletes will be competing in such categories as "practicing magic" and "human gerbil balls". I did however like the Canadian parade thing. Eh, they did a great job on the actual Olympics so I'll let it slide.
