Ginger and I took a tour (my second one in two months) of the WB Lot. We saw lots of TV sets, learned some WB movie trivia, and went to a few of the WB museums (where we saw costumes, props and cars).

My life long friend Ginger is visiting! Yesterday I took her around to show her what CA had to offer. After crepes at my favorite crepe place, we went shopping at the Third Street Promenade. Then we had a great lunch on the beach in Malibu! Shopping in Beverly Hills, Sprinkles cupcakes, and then Universal City Walk! Can't wait to see what we do today! (ps- that beached seal behind me is alive. There was a sign up saying they do this once a year and then they go back into the water).

It's well into October and only a few days ago it was 90+ degrees and I was wearing flip flops and a tank top. There are a lot of great things about L.A., however I miss the falls (and the weather) back in Michigan. When you have to blast your AC in your apt. or start sweating as soon as you get in your car, it doesn't feel like Fall at all. But! I did find a few things that change that. I found a gorgeous fall wreath and a few pumpkin candles that make it seem more Autumn-ish.

I have been using Neutrogena's mascara forever (I love their products), but when I was in the drug store a few weeks ago to buy a new tube, I decided to try something different. I don't know what drew me to L'Oreal's Extra Volume Collagen Hydra Collagen Plumping Mascara, but I'm so glad I tried it! It makes my lashes long and voluminous without looking all stuck together and clumpy. I've gotten many compliments on my lashes from this product!
For best results I gently smash the mascara brush in a Kleenex to get the excess mascara off, and then coat the lashes. If I want an extra dramatic effect, I'll do a second coat, without taking off the excess mascara, and putting it on the outside lashes, making sure to coat the base extremely well.

I know how much Catrina's emergency kit means to her, so I've provided her with the greatest birthday gift of all, life. Well, at least three days of not going hungry, with MREs (Meals Ready to Eat).
