I died laughing at this!!!

So, with my Singing Bee money, I got Lasik yesterday. If you can afford it I highly recommend it! The procedure wasn't bad, but not at all what I expected. I thought that I would lie on a table and a laser would come down, make a cut and then a laser would go in and re-shape my cornea. Which it did, but there was a lot more of instruments touching my eyes than I had envisioned. I had it done at 4:45 yesterday, and today, at 9:45 I can see! I wasn't worried until like, right before it happened and then started to worry that what if long term effects included blindness? Like, since it's so new that in like, forty years people who have gotten Lasik will just start going blind. I mean, not that I've ever heard of that. The only down side is that I can't wear eye makeup for three weeks. But a small price to pay for the gift of sight.

Tonight we are going out for our Valentine's Day dinner! We rarely go out to eat, but thanks to a Valentine's Day gift from my parents (thanks!) we are heading to Outback! It's been a crazy week, I had an epidural injection on Wednesday that I had to be put under for (and anesthesia is awesome, I was basically convinced that I was going to die during this procedure-why? I don't know- but the fact that I was laying there so worried and then all of a sudden I was done... and waking up yelling to the nurse that when I'm rich and famous I'm going to donate money to anesthesia, is amazing!). My back was still sore yesterday, but because of some homemade ice packs that Justin made, I'm recovering nicely.

I loved Barbie growing up. I used to play Barbie's all the time! I would play with them at my house, and then go to my grandma's and play with hers, which were like the original and looked evil, with their small eyes, their non-smiling lips and a hair line that looked like it happened because of a birth defect.
Barbie really looked so much better after she had some work done. I remember getting Barbie's Ice Cream Shoppe where not only could the Barbie characters go to hang out... and I think slide into a pool (?), but I could make real ice cream with it! Which of course I did maybe once. I guess I grew out of Barbie before they came out with this one:
